Pure Chase is a French recruitment firm specializing in purchasing profiles within France. We're partnering with a French machine manufacturer, operating globally, to find an International Purchasing Director.

In this role, you'll BE responsible for implementing the purchasing strategy worldwide, which includes the functional management of 30 buyers and direct management of 12 buyers at the headquarters near Toulouse. While buyers are locally managed by the General Managers in each country, your objective will BE to align purchasing processes, strategy, and the supplier panel. This ensures our external partners deliver optimal long-term performance.

Profil
Our client's products are exclusively derived from mechanical processes. Therefore, we require a technical profile with a strong focus on mechanical technologies, such as an engineering degree or substantial experience within the mechanical industries. Given their business model relies heavily on quotations, we also prefer purchasing directors with a background in the special machines sector and experience in costing (welding, machining, special processes...)

The role involves managing a variety of cultural and maturity differences across different locations. We need someone with international experience who has successfully navigated cross-cultural challenges. A minimum of ten years of team management experience within purchasing is essential, and experience living abroad is highly desirable. The role also requires frequent travel, approximately one to two weeks per month, particularly during the initial months.
